The Carpenter’s Fairy Wrasse should be housed in an aquarium with a tight fitting lid as it is known to be a jumper. Grouping is acceptable and often recommended because the females will encourage the male to perform colorful displays. Females should be introduced in the aquarium first. A Carpenter’s Fairy Wrasse is often harassed by other fish so they should be the first species in the aquarium. It is best kept with peaceful tankmates.
The diet of the Carpenter’s Fairy Wrasse should include vitamin enriched frozen mysis shrimp, frozen brine shrimp, and other meaty foods with a marine flake and pellet food.
